The Order of the Daughters of the King of the Diocese of Fort Worth, Texas, exists under a charter of the national organization.
It holds service and prayer in support of the church as its purpose.

Prayer request for Bishop Iker: Please pray for Bishop Iker's continued wisdom, leadership and strength as he leads our diocese. As Daughters, we can support our bishop and his family through prayer, as the national church and the worldwide Anglican Communion issues continue. Advice to those who decide to offer intercessory prayers Intercessory prayer is simply the process of bringing people, places or situations before God and listening to his will for them. Make a point to pray for, and not against, those involved. Rose Marie Edwards, from Ohio, who leads the Network’s intercessory prayer team, says, “We become what we hate, don’t we? It occupies our mind and spirit. So stay in the positive vein of blessing instead of cursing. Our hope should not be in the people who are in these meetings, our hope is in the Lord. The question is not what will these people produce, but will these men and women allow Christ to move in them. DOK Assembly News Calendar Updates Details on Assembly News Page Spring Assembly March 29, 2008 St. Laurence Episcopal Church, Grapevine Around the Diocese St. Clare Chapter at St. Francis Assisi (Willow Park) installed new members on October 28 at the 10:30 service. Ascension & St. Mark's (Wise County) proudly announces a NEW chapter name -- Daughters of St. Lucy.The name is especially poignant as members recall one of the chapter's founding members, Lucy Schunter. Our Lucy, an amazingly outspoken woman of belief, certainly fulfilled the portion of the Prayer of St. Lucy which says, "You did not hide your light under a basket". Age never slowed her down, as she began her service as a daughter at age 92. President's Report to Province 7 Board

The Prayer Of The Order 0 eternal Father, you have sent us your son to teach us things pertaining to your heavenly Kingdom, give your blessing to our Order wherever it may be throughout the world. Grant that we, your Daughters, ever may discern your truth and bear the cross through the battles of our earthly life. Give us strength to overcome temptation and the grace to work to spread your Kingdom and to gather your scattered sheep within your fold. Pour out upon us the sevenfold gift of the Holy Spirit that we may always remember it is your work we are called upon to do; that all we think, do or say may be pleasing in your sight. We ask it all For His Sake, our King and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
