• Midweek Manna News: Off to a great start! About 50 people met on Wednesday September 16, for the first Midwek Manna. Ascension & St. Mark's, the First Presbyterian Church of Bridgeport and Zion Valley Cumberland Presbyterian, Alvord/Chico, will gather weekly to provide Christian Ed and Bible Study for youth and adults.
  • August 2nd - Bishop Iker’s Annual Visit: This combined congregation bilingual service, was a special blessing to us all as Bishop Iker confirmed and received nine new members. It was a wonderful day for our church to witness and celebrate.
  • Condolences to Walker Family: Participating in Richard Walker's funeral service was an honor and privilege for the entire church family. We extend our heartfelt sympathies to Kemper, Laura, Jennifer, and David, and their extended families. Continue to lift them in your prayers in their time of loss.
  • Congratulations: Laura Kay Siek was born on August 30. The Swindles are proud grandparents and will be glad to share pictures. In fact, granddad has already sent them out to our members list.

  • Swap Meet: Great success...the largest fund raising event ever!
  • St. Lucy Chapter, DOK Membership Class: This national organization focuses on prayer, service, and evangelism. Linda Swindle and Jayne Adams are contact people, but just look for the silver DOK cross, and ask any member for information. Monthly meetings will be the first Tuesday of each month.

  • Bishop's Committee Gatherings--Funtastic Saturdays: Watch the bulletin for events held monthly on the Saturday that's date is the13th-19th of the month, when we gather to just plain play! In the past, we have had an Italian feast with games at the Welshes, Valentines Day celebration, Bingo night at the church in March, a picnic in April, a movie night, and everyone's favorite - BUNCO!. If you have missed these events, be sure to mark the 'teen' Saturday on your calendar. If you'd like to plan or host an event, contact any BC member or Fr. Adams.
  • Anglican News updates can be found on the Outside Links page of our website with links specific to the challenges facing the Anglican world following the Episcopal General Convention in June. You can find a link to Bishop Iker's address to the 25th Diocesan Convention there.
  • Choir: Regular practice on Wednesdays at 5:30. Prior musical experience is not required to be a part of this fun-loving group!
  • Call for Acolytes and Lay Readers: If your child is interested in serving as an acolyte, or you would like to be a lay reader, please let Fr. Adams or one of the current lay readers know. Training sessions for new acolytes will be arranged as needed.
